As a business owner, it’s important to identify sales trends so you are aware of periods throughout the year that are typically busy and when sales tend to dip.
This information is important for a few reasons - firstly for forecasting reasons, and secondly to identify quiet times of the year that could benefit from a push in marketing and advertising to help drum up more business.
Our development team have been working behind the scenes to develop a report that helps you track trends in your business. This report pulls through sales from previous years.
The report is broken down into monthly sales, and displays these in a graph making it easy for you to identify trends (displayed at the bottom of this article).
Step 1: Go to Reports > Sales > Historic Sales Trends Report
Step 2: Select ‘View’ to load report
The below report will then be displayed:
As you can see from this report, sales tend to dip during February and June.
A proactive dealership would look at this report and identify the need to invest in more advertising and marketing leading up to and during these periods.
If you need a hand marketing and advertising your dealership, please get in touch with our team today - we're more than happy to help!
