Every day hundreds of thousands of Kiwis search Google for local businesses.
If your business displays amongst the top search results then you have a good chance of car buyers clicking on to your website to view your vehicles.
However, you can reach more car buyers and increase your click-through-rate for free by having an active Google My Business profile.
Google My Business is a free and easy-to-use tool designed to help promote local businesses across Google Search & Google Maps. It's easy to manage and is located inside your Gmail account (once set up).
As you can see by the screenshot below, it takes up a large amount of real estate in Google Search, making it easy for car buyers to find local businesses and to click through to their websites.
Setting up a Google My Business account is super easy. To get started, visit www.business.google.com/create this will walk you through the steps to set up your account.
You will have to verify your account by getting a letter with a code sent to your postal address, once you've entered this code your Google My Business profile will display on Google.
Your profile will pull through ratings from sites across the web like Facebook and BuyerScore.
To ensure your BuyerScore ratings are pulled through to your Google My Business profile, ensure you use the same name as the one displayed on your BuyerScore profile.
If you don't already have a Google My Business account set up, we strongly recommend setting one up so you can gain more real estate on Google.
